August 2008

I’ve spent the past hour since Dalton fell asleep looking at Here are some of the things I found. I know my husband will appreciate them, I’m not sure about the rest of you.

Okay, that’s all for now.

So, Randy got a haircut (shave) ala John yesterday. We did before and after pics. He took most of the before pictures and on his phone, and I’m not sure I took a final after pic, but the final progression is funny enough in the pics I do have, so I thought I’d share.

And, of course Dalton wanted his hair cut too. And since my mother has been nagging me about cutting his bangs, I let John trim them.

I think this new haircut will cause more people to say, “She’s so cute!”, what do you think?

which i think is just the sweetest thing. at 9, he’s so precocious…

my increasing, revolving, perpetual, eternal list:

-to know and love the LORD

-be able to express themselves correctly, effectively, eloquently and confidently

Okay, so I feel a tugging at my heart to homeschool Christian. I lost hope (or doubted myself) before school started and stopped studying about homeschooling for a bit. I have been inspired lately, however by Charlotte Mason’s methods. Sara was right, I will have to say. She talked and talked about how thorough, accessible and Biblically-sound this curriculum is. I have been devouring all the information I’ve been able to get my hands on, and I have come to exactly the same conclusion.

I have not committed to anything, but I am thinking about it. And, like with all areas in my life, I think better when I write.
